My husband, Rodney is automotive technician, a computer technician, and a website designer. He also is the worship director in our church. We both enjoy using our musical talents to serve the Lord. We view our church as a mission field and desire serve the people in it so that they can serve others.
I have a B.S. in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology and worked as an Electrical Designer until December of 2011, when I was laid off. Since, I have had many job offers to which I said no. I understand that God’s Will for my life right now is to be a homemaker. It took me awhile to be okay with that, but ever since I have felt satisfied and blessed.
Without a full-time job I can be more involved with my church, family, and friends. My passion is to inspire and motivate people through the Holy Spirit to live their entire lives for God’s glory. I now have the time to live my passion and find great fulfillment in doing so. This led to the creation of this blog. It is a place for me to write out what God has been showing me in the hope that you would be drawn closer to Him. I also want it to be place for me to learn from you. I know that I am far from perfect, and I’m always interested in hearing other people’s perspectives.
I have also been intrigued by food, REAL food. 🙂 I have found that it is important what I eat, and I believe that God thinks so as well.
I want to live, not just to be alive. I want to live the life that God has planned for me, not the life of chasing after things that I think will make me happy. I want to make my life on earth count for eternity!
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. 1 Cor. 9:24-27
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14
